Education in Israel

Israeli Schooling System

Schooling is free and compulsory for young ones from 5-15 years. Primary education is completed within six years before pupils attend three years of middle school and three years of high school. After that, they now take the Israeli baccalaureate.
Private religious schools provide quality educational services using qualified private tutors who teach in Hebrew, Arabic, or English. Pre-school (daycare) in Israel is available for children from three months to three years.
Tutoring centers are available at designated places that offer test preparation for students. Tutors concentrate on reviewing content, teach test-taking strategies, and much more.
Higher Education
After completing secondary school, the government usually enlists students in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). But, some request for a deferral of the enlisting date to enable them to attend a university or pre-service mechina. Some of the individuals who attend the university mostly do so under a program known as atuda. As a result, the army pays part tuition for their bachelor’s degree. But, they must sign a contract with them for an extension of service by 2-3 years.

Fortunately, the government subsidizes all of Israel’s nine public universities and its colleges. Students only pay a small part of the actual cost of tuition.
Religious Jewish Schools
Yeshiva or complete day school is the most intensive form of a Jewish school. As compared to the Catholic Parochial school, it teaches both religious and civil subjects.
A Kollel is an educational institute for Judaism at an advanced level that concentrates on the study of Talmud, Torah, and other rabbinical writings. What makes it different from Yeshiva is that its students get an allowance and are mostly married.
Ulpana (Hebrew: אוּלְפֶּנָה ) is a girls-only Jewish high school in Israel, delivering intensive religious education, alongside The state curriculum. The Ulpana is to be found primarily in the Religious Zionist community. It is Post high school, women often proceed to study at a Midrasha, or to undertake Sherut Leumi.
Specialty schools
