The Municipality of Beit Shemesh, following inquiries from residents regarding public transportation in the city, Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch summoned to her office the director of the National Public Transportation Authority, Yaakov Netanyahu, and the staff of the Ministry of Transportation and also sent a letter to the Ministry of Transportation on July 20th on the matter. The changes are set to take effect starting Sunday, August 29th:
Line 4א – The line will pass through Maapilei Egoz and Nahal Refaim and will depart every 20 minutes. The purpose of this is to strengthen a solution in a route similar to line 19 and in order to provide coverage for the educational institutions on Nahal Refaim. These changes to the route will reduce the walking distances of passengers to the stations.
Line 21 – The line will connect ג1 to ג2 and will travel from the HaNavi Zechariah to the Eliyahu HaNavi. The line is expected to be extended in the future.
Alongside these changes, the Beit Shemesh Municipality invites any resident who have the ability to indicate a significant defect that has not yet been addressed to send a WhatsApp message only to the following number: https://wa.me/972523919075
The messages sent will be collected and forwarded in an organized manner to the Ministry of Transportation and Beit Shemesh Express.
Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch: “I accept the changes with satisfaction and we will continue to work to address the shortcomings until the goals set are met. The dialogue with the Ministry of Transportation and Beit Shemesh Express will continue with the aim of bringing about an efficient and safe public transportation system for all the city’s residents, and I thank them for their support in this important matter.”
Letter sent on July 20th to the Ministry of Transportation.
