The Emergency and Security Division of the Beit Shemesh Municipality has begun accessing information about the shelters throughout the city, information that includes location and a contact person in case of need. Most shelters are dual-purpose in the routine of life for the benefit of the general public. The shelters are used by youth movements, computer classes, cruises, kung-fu classes, seminary and synagogue, as well as providing assistance for birthday parties for children in need.
