Yesterday (Sunday), a special event of the Department for the Advancement of Women in the Beit Shemesh Municipality was held in cooperation with the Zichron Menachem Association, in which hair was donated and will later be used to make wigs for cancer patients. The event included a health complex with information booths, a sales fair and workshops, and more. A total of about 50 braids were donated at the event.
Haim Arntel, chairman and founder of the Zichron Menachem Association: “It was a great honor for us to be a guest in Beit Shemesh and to open our tenth braid campaign, with our partner in “Pantene” brand. Thanks to significant contributions from the citizens of the country, we are able to provide a natural and high-quality wig to every cancer patient in Israel. Thank you for every donation. Even after hundreds and thousands of donations, I am still excited about the amazing giving of the citizens of Israel. “
Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch: “During the event, we were exposed to a great many good people who do a great deal of good to everyone. I would like to thank Tamar from my office, who also donated braids at the event and led the event together with the Department for the Advancement of Women in the Municipality and the Commissioner for the Advancement of Women, Deputy Mayor Rina Hollander. This is a great mitzvah and I hope that with the help of the activity today we helped a lot of people. Thank you to everyone who took part in Zichron Menachem, you moved me very much. “
Deputy Mayor and Commissioner for the Advancement of Women Adv. Rina Hollander: The best young talents of the city sang on stage, at the sales booths we met local entrepreneurs and businesswomen, and all this as a backdrop for the big hair donation venture in which the hair envelopes were stacked one after the other. The connection between women of kindness and entrepreneurship is a connection that empowers all the residents of the city. Thank you to Orna Nachmani and Tamar Aharon for raising a special evening. “
