The mayor of Beit Shemesh, Dr. Aliza Bloch, held a meeting today for a first conversation with the school principals in the city ahead of the municipal vaccination campaign within the educational institutions.
The mayor’s words: “We are the first city in the country to lead the course of vaccinations within schools while rewarding educational institutions. Yes, vaccination within schools. I do not convince you. We explain to you to understand, and our role is to incentivize. It’s important to emphasize that I’m getting vaccinated. I take care of myself and my environment, and that’s the whole point of educating everyone to be responsible with the community.
It is impossible to force, but it is possible to explain. We take social responsibility for the students and all the residents of Beit Shemesh.
The policy is clear, and the choice of the Israeli government in Beit Shemesh is an expression of trust in the education staff in the city.
We do not require anyone to be vaccinated. We encourage and explain. And it should be noted that there are activities that can not participate except under the green pass. Thank you for your cooperation, and I do not doubt that this message will be passed on”.
